Personalize your emails with merge tags

Want to personally address subscribers in your emails?

Merge tags are a way to dynamically insert any type of data from the People tab for personalization.

Two ways to insert merge tags

You have two options for inserting merge tags into your email drafts from within Audienceful:

• Simply type { anywhere in the editor to bring up the merge menu
• Or, you can highlight any piece of text and click Data to replace the highlighted text with a merge tag

Preview and test merge tags

If you want to preview how an email with merge tags will look for end users, you can go through our test email flow.

• From the editor, click Publish and create a new email task.
• From the Send Email modal, you should see a "Send test" button where you can send a test to a specific email address.
