Personalize your emails with merge tags

Want to personally address subscribers in your emails?

Merge tags are a way to dynamically insert any type of data from the People tab for personalization.

Two ways to insert merge tags

You have two options for inserting merge tags into your email drafts from within Audienceful:

• Simply type { anywhere in the editor to bring up the merge menu
• Or, you can highlight any piece of text and click Data to replace the highlighted text with a merge tag

Preview merge tags as a specific person

If you want to preview how an email with merge tags will look for a specific person:

• From the editor, click the Preview button
• Then, use the top-right dropdown to search by email address. Once you've selected a person, the preview auto-populates with their data.
